It was fascinating to piece together Chinese dynasties against the time frame of history in the west and see the hisory and flow of this populous region of the world and how it came to be.
You need to be reeeeallllly interested in Chinese history to like this book.

The same goes for this book, it delivered exactly what was promised well done but not in anyway special. Ebrey’s book gives an excellent overview of Chinese history, something many books struggle with, and manages to not only do this but also alongside, give insight into culture, arts, politics and key She became an associate professor in and a full professor three years later.

This second edition includes a new chapter on China’s recent opening to the world and a fully revised guide cambridhe further reading. Patricia Buckley’s book is completely accessible to the interested American reader. The images themselves are not only beautifully rendered but also masterfully picked so that they enhance the text, rather than detract from it.
